"The Nurse and the Curse" is the third episode in the first season of the Freeform sitcom Baby Daddy. It originally aired on July 11, in 2012.

Synopsis[]

Ben hits it off with Emma's nurse.

Plot[]

Ben and Tucker take baby Emma to her first doctor's appointment, and Ben ends up asking her nurse, Cassie out on a date. Riley is jealous of Ben's new relationship with Cassie, but tries to befriend her per Ben's request. Meanwhile, Danny has his first hockey game with the New York Rangers and he's very superstitious - he wears an old high school jersey that has never been washed to every game and Bonnie caters to his every ritual. Tucker, in an effort to clean up the apartment, washes Danny's jersey by accident and it shrinks down to a tattered mess - Danny is devastated.

At the game, Cassie tells Riley she knows she likes Ben and directly insults her, saying Ben will only ever see her as "Fat Pants." This causes Riley to get into a girl fight with her, which is featured on the jumbotron. Emma was actually wearing Danny's lucky jersey, thanks to Tucker, and now she has become his good luck charm. In the end, Ben breaks up with Cassie because she is accusing that Riley likes him.

Quotes[]

Ben: First doctor's visit. But have no fear, because daddy's here. It's all pretty basic. Paper covered table. Which is good because you never know where the last baby has been.
Tucker: Oh, look. Here's where they keep all the free stuff.
Ben: Tucker!?
Tucker: What? Hey, don't knock the system, okay? Why do you think we always have toilet paper and napkins. Right?
Ben: You're gonna get us kicked out before the doctor even..Oh! Tongue depressors. Or as I like to call them - kickass drum sticks.

Cassie: Okay, well, there are quite a few items you didn't answer on the intake form.
Ben: Oh, yeah. Some of those questions were a little tricky.
Cassie: Date of birth?
Ben: Whoa. Straight to the tough ones.
Tucker: What else you got?
Cassie: Um, mother's history?
Tucker: Checkered.
Ben: Let's just say it's a very complicated story.
Tucker: She split after a one-night stand and left the baby on the doormat. It's not really all that complicated.
Ben: Thanks Tucker. Look, the point is I've only got one girl in my life right now. So, please just make sure she stays as perfect and healthy as she seems.
Cassie: Mmm. Well, she's already got one thing going for her. She's got you.
Ben: Uh, what's this?
Cassie: My phone number. Give me a call sometime, very single Ben. The doctor will be right in.
Ben: (After Cassie leave the room) Oh, yes! I just got hit on by a hot baby nurse. We make a good team.
Tucker: (Holding some rubber gloves) Yes, we do. Now shove these down your pants.

Riley: I can't believe you're still so superstitious. Do you remember that rank jersey you used to wear in high school (Danny takes the jersey out) Ooh. Oh, my God. That's the one.
Danny: I never washed it. Never will. That is the scent of victory.
Riley: Well, victory smells like the inside of a dumpster.
Bonnie: A hot, sweaty dumpster that helps my baby win. Give me that. (Holding the jersey with a hockey stick)
Danny: I still wear it under my uniform for every game. It's tight, but it's definitely my good luck charm.
Bonnie: He was wearing this when he won his first championship. He was only 14. (Holds the jersey too close to her face) Oh dear Lord, my eyes are watering. That bird was already dead, right?
